SPM Expert and LabVIEW R&D Engineer (Job Description)

Your tasks:
  • Development of new software architecture for advanced SPM control systems
  • Implementation of new SPM operation modes for the Nanonis SPM Control System
  • Assessment of scientific needs and realization with the Nanonis SPM Control System
  • Redaction of scientific and technical documentation
  • Testing of new control systems in-house and installation with customers on-site
The ideal candidate will fulfill the following criteria:
  • Experience in scanning probe microscopy, especially in dynamic modes
  • Thorough knowledge of scanning probe microscopy applications
  • Advanced LabVIEW development experience
  • Excellent skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Efficient, goal-oriented, self-motivated and structured working in a team
Additionally, the following criteria are a plus:
  • LabVIEW Real-Time and LabVIEW FPGA experience
  • Experience in signal processing and digital and analog electronics
  • Excellent skills in German (written and spoken) and other languages
