Nanonis has integrated Image Metrology's award winning Scanning Probe Image Processor. The software is installed together with the Nanonis SPM Software and serves to produce publication ready images of the acquired data.
SPIP is the de-facto standard for nanoscale image processing and 3D visualization. A huge variety of additional modules to the base package are available from Image Metrology. The software can be called directly from within Nanonis's image acquisition module. In the "sniffer" mode SPIP finds newly acquired images as soon as they are saved to the hard disk. SPIP then opens them and displays them with using either standard settings or user-customizable color palettes, range settings etc.
